Is the gay scene any good in Bournemouth, Dorset?

Is it a busy bustling scene or is it a quiet one? Are there many gay bars or just a couple? I'm more interested in the bars than the clubs. Also, is the gay scene just in Bournemouth, are there any gay bars around Poole?
