What good is holistic food if the dog won't eat it?

Everyone on here tells me to feed my dog Blue Buffalo or Natural Balance or foods in that category, but my dogs don't like them! They do, however, love the Royal Canin or the Nutro Max. What good is feeding my dog the "best" food if they don't like it? I mean, I don't see anything wrong with feeding Royal Canin or Nutro. My dogs don't have any allergies and they are very healthy. All the "best" foods have fruits and veggies in them, but do they really need all that? Dogs in the wild just ate meat! My vet says to feed my dogs whatever they enjoy. Does anyone here agree? After all, pet food companies have spent years of research formulating their foods so how can they be as bad as people on here are saying they are??
