Could you help me find out what this means.?

I, myself, acquired a french t-bone sword bayonet, inscribed "Mre (monsieur) d'Ormes de St. Etienne Fbre (February?) 1879" in 2004. I have no interest in selling, but information about ancestry would be appreciated by anyone. I was thinking d'Ormes de St. Etienne might be the owner, but could it be the manufacturer, or the military unit?
